Marion County (Indiana)

Marion County is a county located in the U.S. state of Indiana in the United States. The main town of Indianapolis, occupies most of the area of the county.

History

Marion County was founded in 1822 and is named after Francis Marion, a general in the American Revolutionary War, named.

Most places in the county have now been incorporated into the city of Indianapolis. My Places are today: Speedway, Southport, Beech Grove and Lawrence.
