Perry County (Indiana)

The Perry County is a county located in the U.S. state of Indiana. In the census in 2010, the County had 19 338 inhabitants and a population density of 19.6 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Tell City.

History

The Perry County was formed on September 7, 1814 from parts of Gibson County and Warrick County. It was named after Oliver Hazard Perry (1785-1819), a U.S. naval officer in the War of 1812.
