Brumbies

The Brumbies ( ACT Brumbies named until 2005, also known as CA Technologies Brumbies in conjunction with the main sponsor ) are a rugby union team from the Australian capital Canberra. She plays in the international Super Rugby League ( hence the earlier abbreviation ACT ) represents the Australian Capital Territory and the southern part of New South Wales.

The team is named after the wild Brumby horses living in the hinterland of Canberra. Home ground is the Canberra Stadium, which share the Brumbies with the Rugby League team Canberra Raiders. The team colors are navy blue, white and yellow. The mascot is called Brumby Jack.

The Brumbies created in 1996 to 12 to provide a third Australian team for the newly founded League Super (now Super Rugby). As the team at the beginning consisted of supposedly " second-rate " players, she was a very quick end prophesied. But since then the Brumbies have five times reached the championship finals and won this twice, which is until now no other Australian team succeeded. In 2001 she defeated the Sharks from South Africa and 2004 the Crusaders from New Zealand.
