ÄŒabar
Čabar a town in the Primorje - Gorski Kotar in Croatia. It is located in the middle of Gorski Kotar, surrounded by forest on one side and hills on the other side, on the border with Slovenia, from there only by the small river Čabranka separately.
History
The history of the town dates back to Roman times. During the Second World War it was occupied from 1941 to 1943 in Italy and Concanera was called.
Population
Čabar has 3,770 inhabitants ( 2011 census ), mostly Croats. The population numbers go back in recent years. This is due to deteriorating living conditions. Čabar since 1974 has been twinned with Pula.
Climate
Summers are pleasant, winters are cold. Large areas of the city are covered with green and trees.
Economy
Economically important are wood and wood products industry as well as winter sports.
