China women's national football team

The Chinese women 's national soccer team represents the People's Republic of China in international women's football. The Chinese selection was a long time one of the strongest women's soccer teams in the world. Overall, the Chinese team was eight times Asian champions, once Vice World Champion and once won the silver medal at the Olympic Games. Recently, however, the team failed to qualify for either the World Cup in Germany nor for the Olympic Games in London and has the leading position in Asia to Japan lost.
