Clyde F.C.

The FC Clyde ( officially: Clyde Football Club ) - founded in 1877 - is a professional Scottish football club that originally came from the Glasgow South East, but is now based in Cumbernauld. The club is named after the Scottish River Clyde, at the their first stadium, the Barrow Field Park, was home.

History

The club was founded in 1877 and first played on the banks of the Clyde. 1896 moved to a new stadium, the Shawfield stage in the then independent Rutherglen, which is a district of Glasgow's today.
