Coors Field

Colorado Rockies (MLB ) (since 1995)

The Coors Field is a baseball stadium in Denver, Colorado in the United States. Coors Field is the home of the Colorado Rockies of the National League of Major League Baseball. Is named the stadium after the sponsor Coors Brewing Company, which owns the naming rights to the ballpark.

Coors Field is known as a " homer unfriendly " stadium, and is therefore known as a batter's Park. This is due to the high altitude of Denver ( about 1600 m above sea level). Due to the low air resistance, the beaten balls fly much further. The stadium was due to the many homeruns the nickname " Coors Canaveral " in reference to the Cape Canaveral NASA. Coors Field is the Wrigley Field very similar.

Outside the United States acquired the stadium recognition sequence by 5 of the 9th season of South Park, in which the protagonists of this series are eager to lose in Coors Field the game.
