The Costa Pacifica is a cruise ship of Costa Crociere. The ship of the " Concordia " class is all about the music: All equipment is dedicated to music, it has its own recording studio, where the passengers can record songs themselves, and it was a special song dedicated.
Due to low Bauunterschiede and a larger number of cabins, the Costa Pacifica is greater than its sister ship Costa Serena and Costa Fascinosa 114 288 after the currently the second largest ship in the shipping company.

History
The baptism of the new cruise ship was held on June 5, 2009 in Genoa, together with the Costa Luminosa instead. The godmother of the Costa Pacifica was the Israeli singer Noa. With the double christening of two ships Costa Crociere entered the Guinness Book of World Records. Previously, the two ships made headlines once already because they were left as world's first ships at the same time to water. On 18 May 2011 she was the largest up -cleared at this time in Kiel cruise ship.
Areas of application
In its first summer season the Costa Pacifica drove in the Mediterranean. In subsequent seasons the ship following areas and base ports had:
- Winter 2009 /10: from Savona to the eastern Mediterranean
- Summer 2010: 7- day voyages from Savona in the western Mediterranean
- Winter 2010 /11: from Savona to the eastern Mediterranean
- Summer 2011: from Kiel in the Baltic, Iceland, Norway and Spitsbergen
- Fall 2011, Spring and Fall 2012: from Savona to the eastern Mediterranean
- Winter 2011/12: from Santos to destinations in Brazil
- Winter 2012/2013 & 2013/2014: cruises from Savona, Civitavecchia and Barcelona to the western Mediterranean
- Summer 2012, 2013: cruises from Kiel and Hamburg to the Baltic, Iceland, Norway and Spitsbergen
Incidents
Between Fall 2012
On December 11, 2012, the Costa Pacifica collided when equipped in Marseille with the port facilities. This one about eight feet long hole was torn in the ship's side. The damage was above the water line, so penetrated no water. Was injured, according to initial information nobody. After a temporary repair the ship continued its journey later on.
Incident in 2014
Between 17 and 27 February 2014, came on the ship to the spread of measles. So far there at 40 crew members of the suspected infection, the disease has been confirmed by 7 crew members. The ship was traveling from Palma de Mallorca Barcelona to Civitavecchia.
