Costa Rica national basketball team
The Costa Rican national basketball team represents Costa Rica in the men's basketball internationals. The Costa Rican Association did not occur until 1969 at the FIBA and the first significant participation of a national master in an international tournament was the participation in the Central American Central America Championship in 1989, when they reached a seventh place among ten participants. Two years later reached the fifth and last in a reduced field of competitors. A qualification for a continental or even global finals did not succeed so far.
