Cyprus national football team

The Cyprus national football team represents the Cypriot Football Federation in international tournaments. To date, the team failed to qualify for either a World Cup or a European Football Championship.

History

The national team of Cyprus completed the first unofficial friendly match against Israel in Tel Aviv on July 23, 1949. The game ended 3-3 .. In the previous year had become the Cypriot Football Association joined FIFA.
