Danny Guthrie

Daniel Dean " Danny" Guthrie ( born April 18, 1987 in Shrewsbury ) is an English footballer.

Career

Guthrie began his career in 2000 in the football academy of Manchester United. After he was no longer wanted, he moved to Liverpool in 2002. The midfielder signed the contract as a 15- year-old. Guthrie was celebrated by fans of the Reds as the new Steven Gerrard. His first try for the first team of FC Liverpool had Guthrie in the summer of 2006 when preseason game against FC Wrexham.

The competitive debut was the Englishman on 25 October 2006 against Reading FC in the English League Cup. Guthrie's debut in the English Premier League, he celebrated a month later against Portsmouth.

International midfielder played for the first time on 5 December 2006 in the Champions League game of the Reds against Galatasaray.

Early March 2007, Guthrie was loaned to second division side FC Southampton, where he played twelve games, before he was hired for the 2007 /08 season at Bolton Wanderers.

2008 Guthrie was transferred for a transfer fee of about £ 2.5 million to Newcastle United, where he signed a four year contract. After these four years engaged him of Reading FC.
