Dolynska

Dolynska (Ukrainian Долинська; Russian Долинская / Dolinskaja ) is a city of regional significance ( місто областного значення / misto oblastnoho snatschennja ) in the center of Ukraine with 18,445 inhabitants ( 2013).

Geography

Dolynska is a railway junction in the southeastern part of the Kirovohrad Oblast 75 km southeast of Kirovohrad and 65 km west of Krivoy Rog. The city is located on the county road T 1210, which runs from Schowti Vody until after Ustyniwka.

Still belongs to the municipality of the village Bilschowyk (Ukrainian Більшовик ) with 161 inhabitants and 0.389 km ².

History

About 10 km south of Dolynska suggested 80 ± 20 million years ago a meteorite and formed the crater of Selenyj Haj.

On August 20, 1873, the town was founded as a railway station. August 8, 1941 to March 12, 1944, the settlement of troops of the Wehrmacht was occupied. Dolynska received May 14, 1957 the status of a city.

BAK Krivoy Rog
