Dong Luang District
Amphoe Dong Luang ( Thai อำเภอ ดงหลวง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the north of the province of Mukdahan. The Mukdahan province lies in the western part of the Northeast region of Thailand, the Isaan.
Geography
Adjacent counties and regions are ( from south clockwise): the Amphoe Mueang Mukdahan and Khamcha -i the province of Mukdahan, the Amphoe Khao Wong and Na Khu in the province of Kalasin, Amphoe Tao Ngoi in the province of Sakon Nakhon, and Amphoe Na Kae and That Phanom Nakhon Phanom province.
History
Dong Luang was founded on April 1, 1877 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the three Tambon Dong Luang, Kok Tum and Nong Bua from Amphoe Na Kae ( Nakhon Phanom Province today ) were separated. When in 1982 the new Mukdahan Province was established, Dong Luang was one of the areas from which the new province was created. It was initially subordinate to the district Mueang Mukdahan. On July 16, 1984 Dong Luang has been promoted to Amphoe.
Management
Amphoe Dong Luang is divided into six subdistricts (tambon ), which continued in 57 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.
In addition, there are six " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
