Khao Wong District
Amphoe Khao Wong ( Thai: อำเภอ เขาวง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of the province of Kalasin. The Kalasin Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.
Geography
The neighboring districts are starting clockwise from south: Amphoe Kuchinarai and Na Khu in the province of Kalasin, Amphoe Dong Luang and the Khamcha -i and the province of Mukdahan.
History
Khao Wong was born on June 1, 1969 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the five Tambon Khum Kao, Song Plueai, Na Khu Phu Laen Chang and Nong Phue were separated from Amphoe Kuchinarai. On 1 April 1974 Khao Wong has been promoted to Amphoe.
Management
Amphoe Khao Wong is ( tambon) divided into six municipalities, which in turn consist of 71 villages ( Muban ).
There are also three small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:
- Kut Sim ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล กุด สิ ม ) consists of parts of tambon Khum Kao and Kut Sim Khum May and the whole tambon Kut Pla Khao,
- Saphang Thong ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล สระ พัง ทอง ) consists of the whole tambon Saphang Thong,
- Kut Sim Khum Soon ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล กุด สิ ม คุ้ม ใหม่ ) also consists of parts of the tambon Kut Sim Khum May
There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
