Kham Muang District

Amphoe Kham Muang ( Thai: อำเภอ คำม่วง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the north of the province of Kalasin. The Kalasin Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

The neighboring districts are starting clockwise from the southeast: the Amphoe Somdet, Sahatsakhan and Sam Chai in the province of Kalasin, Amphoe Wang Sam Mo of the province of Udon Thani, and Amphoe Kut Bak and the Phu Phan province of Sakon Nakhon.

History

Kham Muang was born on October 1, 1972 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the three Tambon Khlong Thung, Phon Sam and Ron were separated from Amphoe Sahatsakhan. On September 8, 1976 Kham Muang been promoted to Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Kham Muang ( tambon) divided into six municipalities, which in turn consist of 71 villages ( Muban ).

There are five small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Muang Kha ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล คำม่วง ) consists of parts of the tambon Khlong Thung,
  • Phon ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โพน ) consists of parts of the tambon Phon,
  • Na Than ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นา ทัน ) consists of the whole tambon Na Than,
  • Na Bon ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นาบอน ) consists of the whole tambon Na Bon,
  • Noen Yang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เนิน ยาง ) consists of the whole Tambon Noen Yang.

There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).

Note: The missing geocodes are among the Tambon, from which today Amphoe Sam Chai is.
