Kut Bak District

Amphoe Kut Bak ( Thai: อำเภอ กุดบาก ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the southeastern province of Sakon Nakhon. The Sakon Nakhon Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Amphoe Kut Bak bordered from the north clockwise as seen at the Amphoe Nikhom Nam Un, Phanna Nikhom, Mueang Sakon Nakhon and Phu Phan in the province of Sakon Nakhon, Amphoe Kham Muang to the province of Kalasin and Amphoe Wang Sam Mo in the province of Udon Thani.

History

Amphoe Kut Bak was established initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) on February 1, 1964, when they broke out the three Tambon Kut Bak, Khok Na Mong Phu and from the district of Amphoe Mueang Sakon Nakhon. On November 14, 1967 Bak Kut has been promoted to full Amphoe.

Attractions

  • The National Park Phu Pha Lek extends over the Phu Phan mountain range, which runs through the county.

Management

Amphoe Kut Bak consists of 3 sub-districts ( tambon), which further into 38 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Bak Kut, consisting of parts of the tambon Kut Bak.

There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.

Note: Municipalities with missing numbers were incorporated into the district Phu Phan.
