Wanon Niwat District
Amphoe Wanon Niwat ( Thai อำเภอ วานรนิวาส ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of the province of Sakon Nakhon. The Sakon Nakhon Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the Isaan.
Etymology
The former name of Amphoe Wanon Niwat is Ban Kut Ling ( Thai บ้าน กุด ลิง ), with Ling to the name of a tree ( Thai: ต้น หู ลิง - Thon Hu Ling ) applies, so that the translation should be: "Water, the to Ling trees continues to flow. "
The small compact trees were once common in the area, but are now rarely to be found.
Geography

History

Management
Amphoe Wanon Niwat consists of 14 subdistricts ( tambon), which further into 175 villages ( Muban ) are divided.
There are three small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:
- Wanon Niwat ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล วานรนิวาส ), consisting of parts of the tambon Wanon Niwat,
- Nong Waeng ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง แวง ), consisting of the whole tambon Nong Waeng
- Thus Na ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล นา ซอ ), consisting of the whole tambon Na Sun
In addition, there are twelve " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
