Wanon Niwat District

Amphoe Wanon Niwat ( Thai อำเภอ วานรนิวาส ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of the province of Sakon Nakhon. The Sakon Nakhon Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the Isaan.

Etymology

The former name of Amphoe Wanon Niwat is Ban Kut Ling ( Thai บ้าน กุด ลิง ), with Ling to the name of a tree ( Thai: ต้น หู ลิง - Thon Hu Ling ) applies, so that the translation should be: "Water, the to Ling trees continues to flow. "
