Nong Kung Si District

Amphoe Nong Kung Si ( Thai: อำเภอ หนองกุงศรี ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of the province of Kalasin. The Kalasin Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

The neighboring districts are starting clockwise from the north-east: the Amphoe Sam Chai, Sahatsakhan, Mueang Kalasin, Yang Talat and Huai Mek in the province of Kalasin, Amphoe Kranuan the province of Khon Kaen, Amphoe Tha Khantho turn in Kalasin and Amphoe Wang Sam Mo of the province of Udon Thani.

History

Nong Kung Si was on 14 September 1973 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by the Tambon Nong Kung Si and Khok Khruea were separated from Amphoe Tha Khantho. In 1975, Tambon Nong Bua of Amphoe Sahatsakhan was also transferred to Nong Kung Si. On March 25, 1979 Nong Kung Si has been promoted to Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Nong Kung Si is divided into nine municipalities ( tambon), which in turn consist of 111 villages ( Muban ).

There are five small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Nong Hin ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง หิน ) consists of parts of tambon Nong Hin and Dong Mun,
  • Nong Kung Si ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนองกุงศรี ) consists of parts of tambon Nong Kung Si and Lam Nong Saen,
  • Kam Kwa ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล คำ ก้าว ) also consists of parts of the tambon Nong Kung Si,
  • Nong Bua ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนองบัว ) consists of the whole tambon Nong Bua,
  • Nong Suang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง สรวง ) consists of the whole tambon Nong Suang.

There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
