Geography
The community Dürrröhrsdorf -Dittersbach located between Dresden, Pirna and Stolpen in the Valley of Wesenitz, its side valleys and the surrounding plateaus. West of Dittersbach the land rises to the Schönfeld highlands to go.
Community structure
The community is adjacent to the two eponymous places Dürrröhrsdorf and Dittersbach of the districts Dobra, Elbersdorf, Porsche village, Stürza, Wilschdorf and Wünschendorf.
History
The community Dürrröhrsdorf -Dittersbach was created in 1965 through the merger of Dürrröhrsdorf and Dittersbach. On 1 January 1994 the municipalities Porschendorf five years later were also Wilschdorf ( with Elbersdorf ) Stürza incorporated ( with Dobra ) and Wünschendorf.

Culture and sights
Belvedere
Special attraction is the " Belvedere " on the " Fine height", a tower with painted by Carl Gottlieb Peschel frescoes of works by Johann Wolfgang Goethe, donated by the Dresden art patron and admirer of Goethe, Johann Gottlob von Quandt. In the tower there is an exhibition on the history of the place Dittersbach. From here you can descend through the district Elbersdorf the Valley of Wesenitz.
Castle
Another attraction is the Dittersbacher castle with its good and public park. The once threatened by decay castle is being restored by a private investor.
Church
The Dittersbacher church was (re) built in 1662 after the old church and rectory were fallen victim to a fire in 1660. In 1722 the tower was completed, while the nave extended into the tower and in 1726 was the installation of a single-manual organ by Gottfried Silbermann.
Dittersbacher fair
The market takes place since 1668 every Sunday after Bartholomew (24 August ) on the last weekend in August. In an ancient tradition it is said that the fair was once held in the district Stürza. However, he was reportedly transferred to Dittersbach because two shoemakers on the Stürzaer market in trade dispute slew each other. Today the most diverse commercial present on the market.
