Eisenberg, Bavaria

Eisenberg is a municipality in the Swabian district Ostallgaeu and a member of the administrative community Seeg.

Geography

Eisenberg is the planning region Allgäu. The municipal area consists only of the district Eisenberg. History

The rule Eisenberg was originally owned by the Lords of Hoheneggstraße. 1382 handed Bertold Hoheneggstraße of his property to Duke Leopold III. of Austria (1351-1386), to then get it for himself and his heirs in fee again. Heir was his daughter Anne, the Friedrich von Freyberg married before 1376.
