History

The CD Guadalajara became the first series champion of Mexican professional league, which he won in the nine years 1957-1965 a total of seven times. The four title wins in a row that has been made between 1959 and 1962, are still existing record in the highest Mexican league. Were especially proud owners and fans of Chivas has always been the fact that these grandiose success has been achieved by a team that consisted solely of Mexican players, while the competitors were well fortified with foreign players more or less. As wealthiest club was since the 1960s, the capital club América who could afford it, a series of expensive players from South America (mainly from Argentina) to undertake. As the great time of CD Guadalajara ended with the seventh title of 1965 and the Club América in the following 1965/66 season even won the championship for the first time, the pre-existing dislike of the two rivals was exacerbated. From now on, was in Mexico you encounter as the duel of the " best Mexican " against the " best foreigner".

When Súper Clásico emotions sometimes cook so high that it repeatedly came to mass brawls between the two teams. For example, on May 22, 1983 at the semi-final game for the championship. After America had won the first leg at the Estadio Jalisco 2-1, they then decrease in the native Aztec stadium with 0:3 below. The surprising turn led to a Massenausschreitung. Similar scenes were repeated three years later in a league match on 17 August 1986. More recently, both teams came after a nasty foul of América player Jean Beausejour 4 April 2010 at the very last host a Súper Clásico at the Estadio Jalisco ( shortly after Chivas Estadio omnilife moved into to ) each other.

Point games in the Mexican professional league

The encounter between the two clubs makes all other games introduced in the 1943/44 season highest Mexican professional league in the shade. Besides the fact that the two teams, each with eleven titles are common record winner of the Mexican professional league, both are also the only clubs which have always been represented in the House of Lords football since its inception. So it also happened so far in every season - except for the two special tournaments México México 70 and 86, as the game plan did not provide for it - for direct confrontation between the two clubs.

Records

The biggest win in the Clásico Súper was a 7:0 from Guadalajara home game of the season 1956 / 57th The highest home win América dated from the opening season of professional league 1943/44, and was a 7:2. The highest-scoring Derby was 1945/46, held at the Parque Asturias and was won by Guadalajara 6-4. The biggest away victory América was a 3-0 in the 1975/76 season and Chivas a 4-1 in the 1969 season / 70th

The longest winning streaks extended over five wins, what Guadalajara twice ( between 20 August 1945 and the September 21, 1947, and again between November 12, 1959, and 29 November 1961) and America once ( between February 4 1971 and 19 November 1972) succeeded.

The longest home undefeated Guadalajara remained of the introduction of the professional league until November 6, 1955, when the Club America until the 13th stint in Guadalajara the first victory achieved. From the previous twelve games Chivas won nine and three draws. A similarly long series of successes on their own place Chivas could achieve between 11 September 1983 and September 5, 1993, when the team in eleven consecutive home games remained undefeated, which jumped out only three victories in this period. The longest winning streak to a private place was reached between 26 February 2006 and 10 April 2011, when six Guadalajara won in a row and it was even five times without conceding a goal. The longest losing streak in its own place had to Guadalajara between 5 June 1971 and October 14, 1979 to accept, as the Chivasi could not win a single of their ten home games in the 1970s ( four defeats and six draws).

The only victory of Guadalajara in the 1970s was a 1-0 win on 21 October 1973 at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, where an amazing home series of the American fashionistas joined. Because with the 2:2 on October 13, 1974 began a series of 21 home games ( 10 wins, 11 draws), the Aguilas remained unbeaten on their own court, before Guadalajara on February 18, 1996, a 3-2 success of the Away win was next. This period also included the longest winning streak, as America between 18 August 1985 and April 30, 1989, scoring four home wins in a row. Longest home win without América remained in the seven home games between 30 November 1958 to 4 October 1964. During the same period also found ( between 30 November 1958 to 3 August 1961), the longest losing streak in its own place instead, than four home games were lost in a row. America has so far never won more than two away games in a row at the biggest rivals.

All Superclásicos in the Liguillas

So far, the two rivals met ten times successively in the Liguillas, which were held in two cases in the form of a group stage, and otherwise in the knockout system. In the first comparison, which took place as part of a group stage, both failed teams that each won away in a direct comparison. Otherwise América sat down by seven, while Guadalajara won only two comparisons for themselves. It was the simple rule that America always had the upper hand in the domestic Aztec Stadium when they scored a goal, which was tantamount to a home win in all cases. If you did not succeed in scoring at home, they also failed in the tournament. It is also striking that Guadalajara could not benefit from home advantage in the Liguillas. Both abroad and at home get the Chivasi in ten games only two victories.
