Eritrea national football team

The Eritrean national football team, the football team of the East African state of Eritrea, one of the youngest in Africa. The Association carries out only since 1992 internationals, so far achieved some victories.

Tournaments

For the African Cup of Nations, the country has never qualified.

Eritrea 2002 first participated in a World Cup qualifier, but could not qualify as in 2006. 2010 we moved back to the start of the qualification. In qualifying for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Eritrea failed in the first round of Rwanda.

African Nations Cup

  • 2009: not qualified
  • 2011: withdrew in qualifying
  • 2014: withdrew in qualifying

CECAFA Cup

The 4th in the CECAFA Cup 1994 is the biggest success in the Eritrean football.
