2003 CECAFA Cup
The 27th edition of the CECAFA Cup, officially Palmares 2003 CECAFA Championship, held from 30 November to 10 December 2003, Sudan held. Six Central and East African teams played for the title of Eastern and Central Africa champion. Tanzania and Ethiopia withdrew their participation. Uganda won his ninth title. Tanzania (after start of the tournament ) and Ethiopia ( before the tournament ) withdrew their participation.
Game Mode
The six participating countries played in two groups of three teams each. The runners-up played against the group winners of the other group in the semifinals. The two semi-final winners play in the final for the title. The semifinal losers played for 3rd place
