2004 CECAFA Cup

The 28th edition of the CECAFA Cup, officially in 2004 Amoudi Senior Challenge Cup, was held from 11th to 25th December 2004 Ethiopia instead. Nine eastern and central African teams played for the title of Eastern and Central Africa champion. Ethiopia won his third title. Eritrea and Djibouti withdrew their participation.

The tournament was in honor of Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Al Amoudi sponsor, owner of the St. George Addis Ababa, renamed.

Game Mode

The nine participating countries played in two groups of four or five teams. The runners-up played against the group winners of the other group in the semifinals. The two semi-final winners play in the final for the title. The semifinal losers played for 3rd place
