1983 CECAFA Cup
The eleventh edition of the CECAFA Cup, officially Palmares 1983 CECAFA Championship, held from 12 to 26 November 1983 in Kenya instead. Nine eastern and central African teams played for the title of Eastern and Central Africa champion. Kenya won his fourth title.
Game Mode
The nine participating countries played in two groups of five or four teams. The runners-up played against the group winners of the other group in the semifinals. The two semi-final winners play in the final for the title. The semifinal losers played by one place 3
