1990 CECAFA Cup
The seventeenth edition of the CECAFA Cup, officially Palmares 1990 CECAFA Championship, took place from 8 to 20 December place in 1990 in Zanzibar. Seven Central and East African teams played for the title of Eastern and Central Africa champion. Uganda won his fifth title.
Game Mode
The seven participating countries played in two groups of four and three teams. The runners-up played against the group winners of the other group in the semifinals. The two semi-final winners play in the final for the title. The semifinal losers played for 3rd place for the first time the 3 -point system has been introduced.
