2005 CECAFA Cup
The 29th edition of the CECAFA Cup, officially in 2005 Amoudi Senior Challenge Cup, was held from 26 November to 10 December 2005 Rwanda instead. Ten Central and East African teams played for the title of Eastern and Central Africa champion. Ethiopia won his fourth title.
Game Mode
The ten participating countries played in two groups of five teams. The runners-up played against the group winners of the other group in the semifinals. The two semi-final winners play in the final for the title. The semifinal losers played for 3rd place
Tournament
All games were held in Kigali at the Stade Amahoro.
