Ernst von Siemens Music Prize
The international Ernst von Siemens Music Prize ( established in December 1972) is awarded annually by the Bavarian Academy of Fine Arts on behalf of the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation. The name commemorates the founder, industrialist and art patron Ernst von Siemens ( 1903-1990 ). Is honored a composer, performer or musicologist. In addition to the main award three prizes still be forgiven. Price is currently (2013 ) doped with 3 million euros, of which 250,000 Euro for the top prize and the rest of the prizes. He is sometimes referred to as the "Nobel Prize for Music".
