History

Fahrenzhausen belonged to Rentamt Munich and the Dachau court of the Electorate of Bavaria. The place was in the course of administrative reform in Bavaria in 1818 an independent municipality.

Incorporations

As part of the Bavarian municipal reform Fahrenzhausen was increased on July 1, 1972 at Großnöbach. At the same time changed the enlarged municipality in the district of Freising. On 1 January 1977 about 150 residents of the municipality Haimhausen and on 1 January 1978 about 50 inhabitants of the former town Gunzenhausen were reclassified ( in Eching ) to Fahrenzhausen. Finally, in 1978 Kammerberg was incorporated on May 1.

Population Development

On the territory of the commune were 1970 2.151 1987 3.120 and then counted 3,916 inhabitants in 2000.

Policy

Mayor Rudi Jengkofer (CSU ); the council consists of 16 members.

The municipal tax revenue amounted to the equivalent of 2266 T € in 1999, which amounted to the trade tax revenues ( net) converted 713 T €.

Economy, agriculture and forestry

It was in 1998 according to official statistics in the field of Agriculture and Forestry 31, 386 in manufacturing and in trade and transport 176 persons work at the workplace.
