Filip Trejbal

Filip Trejbal ( born January 5, 1985 in Jilemnice ) is a Czech skier. He specializes in the slalom and super-combined but travels occasionally, giant slalom and super -G races.

Biography

Trejbal played from the age of 16 FIS races and starts since March 2004 in the European Cup. The first career highlight was winning the slalom gold medal at the Junior World Championship 2005 in Bardonecchia. Two years later, at the Winter Universiade in 2007, he won again in slalom, were added two silver medals in the giant slalom and Super- G.

On 9 January 2005 Trejbal launched for the first time in a World Cup race. The first World Cup points he won on December 22, 2005 22 of the slalom in Kranjska Gora. His best results so far are two 14th places, achieved on February 9, 2008, while slalom in Garmisch -Partenkirchen December 21, 2009 in the slalom in Alta Badia. He participated in the 2006 Winter Olympics, but different both in slalom and in the combination. At the 2007 World Championships in Åre, he started in all disciplines. The best results he achieved the 16th place and ninth place in the team competition. At the 2009 World Championships in Val d'Isère, he started only in slalom, but dropped out after a gate faults in the first round out. At the Olympic Winter Games 2010 Trejbal competes in all disciplines except in the Super -G. His best result was the 28th place in the Super Combined. At the World Championships 2011 in Garmisch -Partenkirchen, he was again only in the slalom at the start. He finished in 16th place.

Trejbal is particularly striking due to its heavy metal look - with long hair, a goatee and massive necklaces that he wears during the race. He lives in Harrachov.
