Frank Hansen (rower)

Frank Hansen ( * August 4, 1945 in Oslo ) is a former Norwegian rowers. At the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972, he won together with Svein Thøgersen silver in the double sculls. Then he won with his brother Alf John Hansen in the same boat class numerous other victories. Between 1974 and 1979, a total of three times World Champion and one runner-up. He achieved the greatest success at the Olympic Games in Montreal in 1976, when he won the gold medal in the double sculls with his brother Alf.

In 1975 he won with his brother the Morgenbladet Gold Medal, 1976 Fearnleys olympiske ærespris.

At the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980 Frank Hansen was because of the international boycott, in which also participated Norway, not participate. He then ended his rowing career.
