Geography

Gehrden borders Seelze, Hannover, Ronnenberg, Wennigsen ( Deister) and Barsinghausen ( clockwise from the North).

History

In the area of Gehrden there were a Germanic settlement, whose remains are archaeologically investigated in an industrial area since 2010.
