Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest 1983

The German preliminary decision to Euro Vision Song Contest 1983 took place A Song for Munich under the title.

A thirteen- member jury of professionals from the entertainment industry chose from 735 submissions from the 24 semi-finalists, from which the radio listeners chose the 12 finalists.

After completion of the preliminary round, which took place this year, five weeks before the Euro Vision Song Contest, 500 representative determined radio listeners and television viewers were interviewed by telephone after the passage of the twelve tracks by the opinion research institute Infratest. They had to evaluate during the broadcast, the twelve track with a predetermined point scale.
