Gmina Strzelce Opolskie

The Gmina Strzelce ( German town of Gross Strehlitz ), is a city and rural municipality in the Opole Voivodeship in powiat Strzelecki. The municipality has about 33,000 inhabitants.

Geography

The municipality is located in the east of the Opole Voivodeship and the Middle Upper Silesia. The community is located east of Opole and in the middle of the powiat Strzelecki. The municipality is bordered to the east by the Silesian Voivodeship.

The municipal area of the municipality is 202.35 km ² Strzelce, which are:

  • 59% of agricultural land
  • 30 % forest cover

The municipality occupies 27.19 percent of the area of the district.
