The community Grunow Dam village was re- formed on October 26, 2003 by the merger of the municipalities Dammendorf and Grunow.

Traffic

Grunow Dam village is situated on the main road 246, the ironworks city and connects Beeskow.

Grunow Dam Village is part of the transport system of Berlin-Brandenburg. As public transport is the bus 400 of the BOS available, running between these two cities and holds in all three districts. In the district of the same name Grunow railway station is on the routes to King Wusterhausen or to Frankfurt and Cottbus. The latter direct connection was set on June 1, 1996. The connection Frankfurt - Grunow - King Wusterhausen - Berlin -Lichtenberg is now (as of 2014) operated by the ODEG every hour. In the community Siehdichum is the airfield ironworks city of Frankfurt ( Oder).
