Guébestroff

Guébestroff ( German encoder village) is a commune with 66 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Moselle in the Lorraine region. It belongs to the district of Château- Salins and Canton Dieuze.

Geography

The municipality is located in Guébestroff Saulnois, immediately north of Dieuze at an altitude 209-333 m above sea level. The municipality covers 3.81 km ².

History

The village was in the Middle Ages and was owned by the monastery Vergaville completely destroyed during the Thirty Years' War, after the peace settlement survived in 1650 only four families in the village. Since reconstruction and resettlement Guébestroff is francophone.
