In the management of community - Hanstein Rusteberg from the Thuringian district Eichsfeld fourteen communities have joined together to do their administrative business.

Office of the Management Community is Hohengandern.

The name of the joint management refers to the ruins of Hanstein and the Rusteberg with its Baroque castle, from which date from the 16th century, the calibration field was ruled by the Kurmainzer governor. The management community was founded on 4 May 1993.
