Harku Parish
Harku ( German Hark ) is a rural municipality in Harju County Estonia with an area of 159.8 km ². It has 12,359 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).
In addition to the main town Harku to the community ( by size descending ) includes the villages Tabasalu, Harkujärve, Tiskre, Rannamõisa, Laabi, Sõrve, Liikva, Vaila, Vääna, Vahi, Tutermaa, Kumna, Kütke, Humala, Adra, Türisalu, Naage, Vääna -Jõesuu, Viti, Suurupi, Muraste and Ilmandu.
The municipality was created in 1891 Harku by the merger of several villages as a separate administrative unit.
Manor of Hark
The landed gentry were the Uexküllen, Budbergen, Ungern- Star mountains until 1919.
Manor of Faehna
Particularly worth seeing is the Baltic German manor of Faehna (now Vääna ), which was first documented in 1325. The present main building was built in 1784 in late Baroque style. Otto Magnus von Stackelberg was the squire of this mansion. Since the 1920s, is located on the premises of a primary school.
