Saku Parish

Saku ( German: Sack ) is a rural municipality in Harju County Estonia with an area of 171 km ². It has 7559 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2010).

In addition to the main town of Saku to the municipality includes the villages Jälgimäe, Juuliku, Kajamaa, Kanama, Kasemetsa, Kirdalu, Kurtna, Lokuti, Männiku, Metsanurme, Rahula, Roobuka, Saustinõmme, Sookaera - Metsanurga, Tänassilma, Tagadi, Tammejärve, Tammemäe, Tõdva and Üksnurme.

Saku is famous for his eponymous beer, brewed since 1878 there industrially. The brewery Saku Õlletehase AS, the largest and oldest of Estonia, is by far the most important employer in the community.

Particularly worth seeing is the manor of Saku ( manor house sack), which was built from 1825 to 1830 in the classical style. It was extensively restored from 1960 to 1984.
