Hauteville-Lompnes

Hauteville- Lompnes, partly Hauteville- LOMPNES written, is a commune in the French department of Ain, in the Rhône -Alpes. It is the capital of the Canton of Hauteville- Lompnes the arrondissement Belley.

Geography

Hauteville- Lompnes is located at 810 m above sea level. Level, about 20 kilometers east of the city Ambérieu -en- Bugey (air line). History

The territory of Hauteville- Lompnes was settled very early. It testimonies to the presence of humans during the Neolithic and during the Roman period have been found.
