Hong Jeong-ho

Hong Jeong- ho ( Kor. 홍정호; born August 12, 1989 in Jeju ) is a South Korean football player who is under contract with the German first division club FC Augsburg.

Career

Clubs

In January 2010, Hong moved from the football team of the private South Korean Chosun University, where he took his first professional steps in competitive sports, free transfer to the football franchise Jeju United. After initial injury, he ran for the first time 26 May 2010 for the club on in a game of Korean football Cup. In 57 games for Jeju United, he was able to achieve two goals.

Shortly before the end of the transfer period joining Hong on September 1, 2013 to the German Bundesliga FC Augsburg, where he signed a four-year contract until 30 June 2017.

National

During his time at the University of Hong team has already played for different age classes of the South Korean national football team. He played five games in 2009 at the U -20 World Cup 2009. Since 2010 he is part of the senior team. On November 15, 2013 he scored his first international goal in a friendly against Switzerland.
