Hudson Strait

The Hudson Strait (English Hudson Strait; French Détroit d' Hudson) is a strait in Canada, with the between the Ungava Peninsula and Baffin Island along a length of around 700 km, the connection between the Hudson Bay and the Labrador Sea and in the further course manufactures Atlantic Ocean. In their " closest " point they reached a width of about 120 km, at its widest, it is little more than 200 km.

Was first explored the Hudson Strait in 1517 by the Italians Sebastian Caboto. It was named after Henry Hudson, however, the 1610 Transit able to likewise named after him bay.
