Jaman North District

The Jaman North District is one of 138 districts in Ghana. It is located in the center of Ghana in the Brong- Ahafo Region, where one of 19 regional districts. The Jaman North District is bordered by the districts of Jaman South, Tain and Berekum in the Brong Ahafo - region. It also borders the neighboring state of Ivory Coast. Chief Executive is Elizabeth Oba.

Only by Presidential Decree of President John Agyekum Kufuor of 12 November 2003 was formed by dividing the former Jaman District at the beginning of 2004, the Jaman North District as well as the Jaman South District.

Constituencies

In the district of Jaman is only an eponymous constituency, in which Alexander Asum - Ahensah for the National Democratic Party ( NDC) won the seat in the Ghanaian Parliament in the parliamentary elections of 2004.
