Jaman South District

The Jaman South District is one of 138 districts in Ghana. It is located in the center of Ghana in the Brong- Ahafo Region, where one of 19 regional districts. The Jaman South District is bordered by the districts of Jaman North, Berekum and Dormaa in the Brong- Ahafo Region. It also borders the neighboring state of Ivory Coast. Chief executive is Apraku Tanoh.

The Jaman South District was established together with the Jaman North District only by Presidential Decree of the President John Agyekum Kufuor on 12 November 2003 from the former Jaman District by splitting.

Constituencies

In the district of Jaman an eponymous constituency was set up in which Anna Nyamekye for the New Patriotic Party (NPP ) in the 2004 parliamentary elections the seat in the Ghanaian parliament.
