Tano North District

The Tano North District is one of 138 districts in Ghana. It is located in the center of Ghana in the Brong- Ahafo Region, where one of 19 regional districts. It is bordered by the districts of South Tano, Sunyani Municipal and Asutifi in the Brong- Ahafo Region. Tano North also borders the Ashanti Region with their districts and Ahafo Ano North Offinso. Chief Executive of the district is Nicolas Anane Adjei.

The Tano North District was first formed by presidential decree of 12 November 2003 in 2004 by division. The former district was divided into Tano Tano Tano North and South.

Constituencies

In the district of North Tano an eponymous constituency has been established. Here Ernest Debrah Abobuor won for the party New Patriotic Party (NPP ) in the 2004 parliamentary elections the seat in the Ghanaian parliament.
