Justin Krueger

Justin Matthew Krueger ( born October 6, 1986 in Dusseldorf ) is a German - Canadian ice hockey player on the position of the defender, who plays for SC Bern in the National League A since 2013. The son of the former German international and former Swiss national team coach Ralph Krueger is German national team since May 2010.

Career

Justin Krueger learned the Hockey Games in Duisburg and changed due to a commitment of his father in the mid-1990s VEU Feldkirch Feldkirch. In 2003 he moved to the youth department of the Swiss professional clubs HC Davos in which he was active until 2005. He then moved into the Canadian Junior Football League British Columbia Hockey League, where he ran aground in the 2005/06 season for the Penticton Vees. Between 2006 and 2010 he played for the team from Cornell University in the University and College Sports League ECAC Hockey, whose championship he won with his team in 2010. Krueger himself was in 2008 and 2009 respectively chosen team in the ECAC All- Academic and determined 2010 Best Defensive Defenenseman the league. At Cornell University studied Krueger hotel management. In the season 2010/11 Justin Krueger played for SC Bern in the National League A, which he failed in the playoff semi-finals in seven games to the Kloten Flyers. In April 2011, Krueger took a one-year contract offer from the Carolina Hurricanes for the 2011/12 season, but was the end of September in the farm team of the franchise that sent Charlotte Checkers in the American Hockey League. In May 2013 Krueger signed a two -year contract with SC Bern.

Internationally

For Germany Krueger took part in the U18 Junior World Championship 2004 Division I and the U20 Junior World Cup 2006 Division I at junior level. In both tournaments he got his team into the top division. In addition, he was in the squad of Germany to the A- World Cup 2010 in their own country.
