Kamern
Kamern is a unified community in the north east of the district of Stendal and Saxony -Anhalt in Germany. It belongs to the municipality Elbe- Havel -Land, which has its headquarters in the town of Schönhausen (Elbe ).

Geography
The territory of Kamern lies on the northern edge of the country Schollene, a forested Endmoränenbogen which extends over a length of 30 km between here running parallel rivers Elbe and Havel. Just south of Kamern the rake mountain rises in the camera 's or Rehberger mountains up to 110 m above sea level. NN, this landmark is thus about 80 m above the flat floodplain landscape of the Elbe and Havel. Kamern is approximately 13 km from Havelberg
Community structure
To Kamern include the hamlets High Kamern, Neukamern, Rehberg, Schönfeld and Wulkau.
History
The former estate village Kamern was first mentioned in 1322 in a document.
With the municipal reform and the requirement to ensure a minimum population of 1000 in unit communities, joined on 1 January 2010, the formerly independent communities Schönfeld and Wulkau the community Kamern to.

The municipality has no officially approved coat of arms; it merely introduces a crest similar logo.
The former municipalities Kamern and Rehberg led in their community Siegel ever had a similar coat of arms seal image. This introduction of the districts and counties in the GDR (1945-1952) was used in the period after the Second World War to about. Another source is the Kreisheimatmuseum in Genthin.

Economy and infrastructure
Traffic
The community Kamern is located on the road from Mountain Havel in Brandenburg Rathenow and is on the neighboring community Wulkau by the federal highway 107 ( Havel Mountain - Genthin ) connected. The nearest train stations are about 20 km away from Kamern away ( Schönhausen (Elbe ), Rathenow and Glöwen ). There buses stop and call buses of the regional transport company West Saxons ( RVW ) stendalbus under the brand name.
