Kameyama (Mie)

Kameyama (Japanese亀 山 市, -shi, literally Turtle Mountain ) is a town in the Japanese prefecture of Mie. The city is famous for Rōsoku ( candles).

History

Kameyama and eingemeindeten on 11 November 2005 places Seki (关 町, -chō ) and Sakashita (坂 下 村, -mura ) were during the Edo period post stations (宿 场 町Shukuba -machi ) of the Tōkaidō.
