Ketchikan Gateway Borough, Alaska

Ketchikan Gateway Borough is a Borough in Alaska, United States. The district lies to the south of the so-called Alaska Panhandle. 2010, there were 13,477 people. Council is based in Ketchikan.

On 19 May 2008 were large parts of the then Prince of Wales- Outer Ketchikan Census Areas, including the Outer Ketchikan region, to the Borough.

The district had prior to the inclusion in 2008 an area of 4545 square kilometers; of which 3194 square kilometers of land and 1349 square kilometers ( 29.69 percent) of water.
