Geography
Kirchberg is located in the Munich region, the small community is located in the hilly, wooded Erdinger wood land about 14 km south of Moosburg an der Isar, removed every 21 km from Landshut and Villages as well as 19 km from the district town of Erding and 24 km from Munich Airport. In the city of Munich there are 56 kilometers.

History
Kirchberg was first mentioned on 29 January 818, when the bishop of Freising Hitto held a Pontifical Mass in the Church of Cozoltesdorf. During the outbound late Middle Ages and the beginning of the ( early ) modern times, the village name changed to Kirchbergk. Kirchberg belonged to Rentamt Straubing and the District Court of the Electorate of Bavaria rain and was seat of a chairman shaft. Created in 1818, today's community. In the area of reforms in the 70s of the 20th century the town remained untouched.

The coat of arms of Kirchberg was established on 28 September 1982. " In blue on the right is a growing silver steeple with golden onion dome, left diagonally crossed a golden key and a slumped silver sword with a golden hilt "
In addition to the coat of arms the community performs a flag with the colors white-blue - yellow.
Policy
Mayor Johann Gran Dinger, who was elected on the common list " UWK and AWK ". The list also occupied all eight councilors.

- Parish Church of St. Nicholas and Urban Schröder thing, late Gothic Baroque style around 1450, nave and tower top by Anton Kogler to 1702/ 03, extended mid-20th century.
